In addition to his career as an internationally successful composer and songwriter, Simon has extensive experience on music industry boards and political lobbying on behalf of the industry in relation to copyright.

 

He is a tireless advocate for the value of copyright to the UK music industry and UK economy, including presenting in the House of Commons, House of Lords, EU Parliament and Costa Rican Parliament and at music industry events worldwide. He has strong relationships with politicians from all major political parties in the UK and extensive long-standing connections with international music bodies, businesses and digital disruptors.

 

Simon has been instrumental in organisational transformation projects and a driver of governance changes to improve fairness and efficiency in an industry facing accelerating change in the digital environment.
